TAX RETURN PREPARATION

I assist business owners and individuals in filing taxes each year. I prepare federal and state income tax returns for business owners and individuals. In Florida, we do not have a personal state income tax. However, new residents to our state generally have to file a personal income tax return with the state they have left. I have been preparing personal state income tax returns for clients for years.

I routinely prepare federal and state income tax returns for corporations, small business corporations, partnerships and individuals. All returns are prepared with the use of computers for speed and accuracy. By using the best software (computer program) I can find, I have the ability to prepare any income tax return for any state or locality in the United States.

Therefore, when a new client comes to the office and says that he or she has just moved from New York or Georgia or Arkansas, I tell them, no problem, I can prepare the return they need. When an existing client moves to Hawaii or Arizona or Michigan, I tell them no problem, I can prepare the return they need.

I always furnish my individual clients with a tax organizer that assists them in gathering their information for the preparation of an accurate tax return. Many clients complete the organizer and mail the organizer back to me and we don’t meet face to face. However, we will generally talk on the phone. The organizer has worked great when clients have moved out of state, out of the Tampa Bay Area, or out of the country. The mail system has delivered tax organizers to Germany, England and Japan, returned completed tax organizers from those countries and then delivered completed tax returns back to those countries.

I also prepare other returns and reports for business owners and individuals. Some of the other returns I routinely prepare are various payroll tax returns, tangible and intangible personal property tax returns and workers compensation reports.

Taxpayers who give away property should not overlook the obligation to file a federal gift tax return. The federal gift tax return is annual return that must be filed by the person who gives someone more than $10,000 in a year. I can prepare that return. However, with some advanced tax planning the necessity of filing a gift tax return may be avoided.
